Municipal experience is required and experience as a Town Manager or a Town Administrator is preferred. The panel discussed a nine-member group text that includes the four speakers and other town managers from the area, dubbed the Pandemic Snow Brigade. Desired qualities include the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, exercise sound judgement in ethical matters, and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. The successful candidate will have a knowledge of municipal accounting and budget development and a working knowledge of computers and municipal software. The duties of the Town Administrator include but are not limited to treasurer and finance director, road commissioner, public relations, human resources manager, grant coordinator, and town employee supervisor (six full-time and several part-time).
